OBJETIVOS DE LA ASOCIACIÓN
Mythos, Centro para el Estudio y la Divulgación de Mitos y Fábulas, es una organización sin ánimo de lucro y está ubicada en la isla de Kea (Cicladas, Grecia). Su objetivo es aumentar el interés de la gente por la tradición, los mitos, las historias y la herencia cultural.

1. En 2008 se fundó la “Escuela de Narración de Atenas", una escuela para adultos, que asisten a cursos de dos años de duración.
2. En 2014 se fundó “Escuela de Narración de Chipre”, una escuela para dultos, que asisten a cursos de dos años de duración.

- El “International Folktales Festival” en la isla de Kea (Cicladas) es el festival más antiguo de tradición oral de Grecia y tiene lugar cada año durante la última semana de Julio desde 2003.
–El “International Storytelling Festival” en Atenas tiene lugar cada dos años en noviembre, desde 2009. Desde 2015 el objetivo del festival es la narración experimental.
–“Myths and Tales without Borders” es un proyecto que comenzó en 2009 y se presenta en zonas de Grecia que tiene un acceso limitado a las actividades culturales y educativas.

–“Children’s Festival of telling, expression, creation” se celebra en Atenas y tiene lugar cada año desde 2011.

¿CONSIDERA IMPORTANTE AÑADIR ALGO MÁS?
En 2014 Mythos creó en Atenas en la zona de la acrópolis “La Casa de las fábulas - Museo Diferente”, un museo de patrimonio inmaterial, como son las tradiciones orales del mundo. En este museo tienen lugar diversos espectáculos de narración y programas educativos para niños, adultos, familias y escuelas.

ORGANIZATION´S OBJECTIVES
The “MYTHOS” Centre for the Study and Dissemination of Myths and Folktales is a non-profit organization and is based in Kea Island (Cyclades-Greece). Its aim is to encourage the interest of people in tradition, myths, tales and in cultural heritage. The “MYTHOS” creates and arranges scientific, educational and artistic projects so as to support the dissemination of cultural heritage, myths and tales.

1. “Storytelling School in Athens” was established in 2008. Adult students attend the two-year long courses.
2. “Storytelling School in Cyprus” was established in 2014. Adult students attend the two-year long courses.

- “International Folktales Festival” in Kea island (Cyclades) that is the oldest folktales festival in Greece, takes place every year at the last week of July, since 2003.
–“International Storytelling Festival” in Athens, takes place every two years in November, since 2009. In 2015 and after, the festival aims to the experimental storytteling.
–“Myths and Tales without Borders” is a project that has started in 2009 and is presented in disadvantaged areas of Greece which have limited access to cultural and educational activities.

In 2014 MYTHOS organization created in Athens, acropolis area the “House of Folktales – The Museum Otherwise”, a museum that exhibits the intangible culture, the oral traditions of the world. Various storytelling performances and educational programs for children, adults, families and schools, take place.
